Job Specific Knowledge:
Senior Mechanical Engineer with international company’s experience (gained through multinational companies or across countries and professional cultures).
Experience in Engineering for Construction with a very strong power engineering background.
Successful track record of result deliverables in challenging project environments.
Management of edge of internal and external engineering interfaces, schedule impact, change orders.
A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to WorleyParsons and its customers.

Industry Specific Experience:
Relevant experience in EPC/EPCM industry, EPC Power Plants development, engineering and construction for more than 10 years.
Experience across renewable energies (solar thermal, PV, wind) is preferred, focus in solar thermal an asset.
Experience on construction supervision is a plus.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Degree in Engineering, Master in relevant field preferred.
Minimum 10 years Mechanical Engineering experience.
English (written and spoken) and Chine (mother tongue);

HSE Capability:
Adherence to HSE Policy and Procedures.

IT Skills:
Competent use of mechanical engineering specific software
MSOffice; and CAD programs. Primavera is a plus.

People Skills:
Responsible and Honest.
Good communication skills and an aptitude for taking initiatives are essential, as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Collaborative, Team Builder and Leadership. Able to create a pleasant work environment.
Strong technical skills in the power and renewable energies industry, with emphasis in solar thermal field.
Strong trouble shooting skills with the ability to resolve technical, operational and systemic problems.
High level of understanding of management of interfaces across multi-functional groups and disciplines and project life cycle phases.
Thorough understanding of the risks and the technical/commercial issues associated with the engineering in power projects.
Must be a self-starter, with the ability to take responsibility for their own work, open to creativity.
Extent of Guidance or Control:
Supervision
Responsibility for the mechanical engineering services rendered for the project and the result of the technical reports and studies.

Impact of Decisions on Results:
His/her decisions have a minor impact in the Chinese Operations.
Position Significance Relative to Total Organisation:
Minor significance in the overall company context.
