Overview This individual will be responsible for performing CAE analyses on TE Connectivity products and becoming a champion in the use of CAE tools throughout the Asia/Pacific region. The position is embedded into a global CAE support team that provides awareness, training and rollout services for TE’s major CAE systems. Responsibilities & Qualifications Primary Responsibilities: ? Acting as an internal “consultant”, performing CAE analyses for TE engineers and designers. ? Provide internal user training on CAE tools and analysis theory. ? Helping engineers and designers interpret CAE results to improve product designs appropriately. ? Promoting the use of CAE analysis in TE and educating others on its benefits. ? Developing/managing implementations and user training plans in commercial and TE internal CAE tools. ? Performing front-line end-user support in using the CAE tools. ? Active involvement in global CAE implementation projects and local/global working groups. ? Liaising with CAE software vendors on capabilities, purchasing, and deployments. ? Supporting the local High Performance Compute Cluster for CAE applications Competencies & Experience Required/Desired: Required Minimum 5 years of experience in the use of commercial CAE tools Understanding the theory, benefits, and limitations of CAE tools and finite element analysis. Highly effective communicator and technical writer. Good English skills are required. Strong project and time management skills Ability to work and communicate on a global team Willingness to travel to other locations. However, travel will not be frequent. Preferred Experience with commercial CAE tools such as Ansys, Creo Simulate, Autodesk Simulation CFD, and Moldflow. Working experiences in Product or Tooling Design of Electronic Components Working experience with PTC Creo Understanding of structural, thermal, electromagnetic, high frequency effects or plastic injection molding processes of electronic components. Educational Required/Desired: ? Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
