职位 boss 描述

Scope:

This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain Management (based in Dover) and indirectly to the General Manager of ElectroCraft Asia. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for driving exceptional product quality, regulatory assurance and optimized Cost of Quality for components, subassemblies and finished goods in Asia.

Responsibilities:

Establish quality benchmarks and metrics for measuring efficiencies and effectiveness of all supplier performances that affect Electrocraft’s products and services.
Develop initiatives and review metrics to identify cost of poor quality. Using various data collection methods…will measure, analyze and improve supplier performance and reduce supplier non-conformances.
Develop relationships with customers, suppliers and other departments to resolve quality related issues.
Manage FAI (First Article Inspection) process.
Approve new supplier selection through utilization of Electrocraft’s supplier assessment process.
Assure continued compliance through the administration of a supplier monitoring system i.e. Supplier Scorecards.
Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Internal Quality and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements that minimize the Cost of Quality.
Assure Corrective Action plans are developed and executed.
Develop regular site assessment and review schedules for all major suppliers.
Promote the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement techniques at suppliers to help reduce product quality variability and achieve acceptable process control.

Qualifications:

Must be fluent in Mandarin and English…both spoken and written
5+ years Supplier Quality Engineering experience in a high mix, low to medium volume global manufacturing environment. This includes supplier evaluation and management.
Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Effective problem solving, root cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change.
Relevant commodity expertise (motor and drive components) and strong knowledge of the competitive supply environment.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma business practices.
Solid negotiation, interpersonal, communications and analytical skills.
Computer skills including ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to successfully work in multiple business and national cultures.
Ability to travel frequently to suppliers in Asia. Must be able to travel internationally (for example, be able to obtain proper visas and paperwork when necessary).
Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies and in-depth understanding of site level products and related processes.
